NFL International Series London – Game 1
Crowds of people headed to London to for a weekend of NFL entertainment.
The NFL come to London every year for the International Series and put on three sell out games at Wembley Stadium.
Around 40,000 spectators descended upon Trafalgar Square on Saturday afternoon for a four-hour extravaganza to mark the start of the 2015 International Series on Sunday.The event was hosted by Sky Sports pundit Neil Reynolds and former New York Giants linebacker Osi Umenyiora. There were special appearances from members of both the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins ahead of their match at Wembley on Sunday.
The cheerleaders for the Dolphins were also in attendance for the NFL fanatics who attended, as were some famous faces from years gone by – including former Miami quarterback Dan Marino.
American Football is a great day out for the whole family
Sunday was game day and around 90,000 people headed to Wembley Stadium. The grounds around Wembley Stadium was set up with all sorts of NFL based entertainment and iON was there with the NFL LAB which is a set up of challenges designed to resemble the different skills needed in American Football, i.e. jumping, speed, power and accuracy of throwing.
Wembley Stadium filled up and was close to capacity for the big game. The iON Fan Cam picked out faces in the crowd giving them a chance to go mad on the big screen. The New York Jets beat the Miami Dolphins 27 points to 14.
