Loheac World RX
The FIA World Rallycross Championship made its annual pilgrimage to the ‘Temple of Rallycross’ last weekend when it visited Loheac in France. A massive crowd of over 75,000 people watched on as iON’s Petter Solberg blasted through the heats to line up in pole position on the grid for the second semi-final.
Petter stayed out front as others battled hard behind. With a front row grid slot for the final Petter couldn’t get ahead of Timmy Hansen who took victory for Peugeot on their home turf. Petter finished second with local favourite Jean-Baptiste Dubourg in third.
Barcelona is the next stop on the World RX calendar, the track is currently being prepared for the 600bhp Monsters to race in a little under two weeks’ time. Petter will look to defend his 37 point championship lead.
